GREEN PLANET, Watercolor Painting Plants and Insect
Every year I had a visit from a mantis right inside the
house. Mentis is fearless, brave and
friendly. We share the same connection
to earth GREEN! I put him on the bamboo
and painted him, all in GREEN. I know
the secret love of all space scientists when they sent a search satellite into
eternity. It’s the color GREEN. The color that represents planet
EARTH!........so far only earth is green,
GREEN represents the existence of living things on planet earth or at
least in this case, the mantis and me!

I compose this painting with flowers I planted in the garden. The delicate petals of impatient make me dream. Earth is the only place that generates colours organically to please the eyes. In the rest of the universe, it would be a rare event ... but never this charming!

Choco Slice From Heaven
This little scene is just tasty. It looked like a slice of chocolate cake with stream of cream dripping down and colorful icing on top. It was so big that I think only God can make such a cake, a treat for everyone. I enjoy every minute, creating this small painting!

THE CARAVAN, Watercolor Painting Landscape
Caravan is part of New Zealand lifestyle. This is one of the early days' model which was made of plywood. They scattered everywhere in summer time along the coastline! When we were walking along the beach of Devonport, a seaport village of Auckland city. A caravan parked in a seafront garden of a multi million dollar home caught my eyes. Rich or poor, local New Zealanders share the same lifestyle, the same experience, the same enjoyment, the same love of the country. This caravan was part of the family, part of the life was shared on the beaches of NZ. Warm, intense colors were chosen to portrait the emotion, memories in the rugged natural environment! .

By the River
It was a beautiful day at the riverside. The wind was blowing in and the tide coming up. I stood up for a drawing then came back to the seat behind a bush to paint. The fun of en plein air is the little surprise of the unexpected elements. This time it was the wind!
By the Sea
My favorite place! I love the tree cladding with little houses along the shore. They provide a sense of privacy for the place. The little bucket at the back of the boat indicated someone was at home in the house boat.
The Bird Watcher Hutt

This pond is on the Hauraki Gulf reserve. It is an ideal place to watch the birds, sea birds, local birds and grey ducks. It is one of my favorite painting spot. The hut was removed later this year. I was lucky to capture the scene before the change.

Eyeing the Track

I was not sure what I was going to get. When the painting finished, I could not stop but admiring her. She added another interest in my world! I felt lucky that I have tried. Horses are beautiful and intelligent. I wish to have more time to paint them.
