The Flame Robin
I remember a young soldier
He was too young to be
He did know what war is
He just followed the lead
He was pushed into the fire
Lost the friend
Lost the dream
Lost the love of his life
The flame died
There came a robin
On the road side
Open his chest wide
And sang to the soldier
A welcome song
It put the flame of courage
The flame of life
Back into his mind
And made him smile
He realized
He’d still always have
The flame inside
